 Beware Android users, what you install from the Play Store there’s no guarantee for safety or security. Hackers are stealing your Facebook account through your android phone apps.

Google Play Store is one of the most popular app stores for android mobiles. They always pay great efforts for the safety of the store from malicious apps, but hackers always find ways to steal your credentials.

Google Removed 25 Android Apps

Google has dumped 25 applications from the Play Store after stealing the Facebook user’s security credentials. The attacker can log in to the user’s account with Facebook credentials and use their identity for illegal activities. 

By the research of Evina team report the threat and took part in with Google to remove the apps from the Google Play Store. These apps were coded with malware which only listens out until the user opened a Facebook app. Once the user opens the Facebook app the malware loads a browser and navigates to Facebook’s login window. When the user types their login details these were copied in the background malware and sent to remote servers.

Now the users do not need to take any action against the apps because Google has already removed them from the Play Store. But it will be worth checking the list of apps if you had installed any of these you must uninstall from your phone and check the Facebook account for any unusual activity and change your password.
